The Details are completed. We are going to have a SuperCar Challenge.
Date October 15, 2011 The Day Before the SuperCar Nationals Show n Go to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation
LVD, NY
Open to all Stock Appearing & Stock MuscleCars

The deal is $100.00 to participate in the Race plus track entrance fee. (Side Bets among racer are OK and additional donations can be made to the Make A Wish in the name of the Racer / SuperCar ShootOut)

To run the Challenge your tires must be polyglas and need to have 85% of the tread showing by the end of the event to be decleared the winner. (Actual minimum thickness will be posted)

Your best Recorded E/T prior to October 15th will be your Dial In (2010 / 2011 Best E/T).

How does it work? The car that runs the closest to the Dial In wins the round and advances to the next round.

Sportmans Ladder, upto to a 32 car field.

Winner takes half of the pot the other half goes to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Car must pass SuperCar Tech (Stock or Stock Appearing) No Exceptions

This is a Pre Pay Race with No Refunds if you don't show. (your entry fee will be donated to the Make A Wish Foundation in total)

Minimum of 8 cars to run the race.

Billy I like it to :aok

. It will be a challenge to run the same E/T on unseasoned tires as you do on seasoned tires.

i still have a lot to learn about how to get one of these cars to run. seasoned or unseasoned.

Questions:

1. Stock Class rule 14.01 "Repro or radial tires only" Does not apply to this race? No street radials?

2. Best ETs 2010-2011 will probably be from another track, Englishtown, Atco or will it be best ET at LV

3. Looks like a number of people will have to get new tires just before this race to meet the 85 % rerquirement. Correct?

Great Questions Hal,

I don't think Ted was questioning. I think he is stating- runs the closest to your dial /or beat the opponent and stay within your dial.

Maybe its just my thick 1/2 Italian head, Teds statement had a question mark at the end. In my mind it was a question. :shrug

So is the winner of each round the person who runs closest to their best ever time regardless of whoever crosses the finish line first? :nuts

Correct.

It was a question!

I asked because this makes no sense!
A 15 sec. car will walk away with the win all day long, on a challenge of who can get brand new tires to hook! :shrug

Lets keep it simple....Super Car Rules, brand new tires, Heads up, Sportsman Quick 8, 2nd Q8 If needed, and or mactch races.

BRING IT!!!!!!!
NEW, OLD, EXPERIENCED OR NOT, FAST GUYS TOO.....LETS GET BACK TOO OUR ROOTS!!!!

CALL THE MAGAZINES THIS COULD BE BIG!

As for the fee,
$ 100 bucks, Q8 winners get 1/2 and 1/2 to MAKE A WISH
Match racers....$100 bucks...winner gets their 1/2 and other 1/2 to M.W.F.!!!

This already has alot of excitement to it.....i mean brand new tires, this could really mix it up....its anyones race

OK so maybe you don't want to spend for new tires if you don't need to! I understand.....but the quick eights should have them...match racers.... maybe just super car legal because the match up will place you close to each other!

Sorry Ted I thought you understood. You take your best E/T and now you have to try to match it. Should not make a differnece if you run 15's or 10's everyone has the same goal. If you take your best E/T and look at your time slips most of your runs are within .10 and .20 of your record run, pretty much every time you run them this time of the year LVD, E-Town, Atco or Cecil.

To have the best race that inlcudes the complete field in one group this is the only way to do it. Do you want to race for $400.00 in an 8 car field or $1600.00 in a 32 car field? Do we want to donate $400.00 to the Make A Wish foundation or do we donate $1600.00.
