I am putting the final touches on the 2014 season schedule. It looks like we are going to be racing 9 weekends in 2014 for a total of 17 races. We have been asked to race at Maple Grove, The only issue is its going to be in the middle of the summer. For now I passed on Maple Grove. I am also working on scheduling a race at either Atco or Cecil in June on the Friday before our one day Cecil race. The schedule will be public at our Championship Awards Party Scheduled for January 18th at GTX Jimmy's Resturant in Springfield Mass (More info to come very soon on the Championship Awards Party)

Do you think 17 races is enough, just right, to much or do we need more?

9 Weekends=

5 races at LVD
3 or 4 races at Cecil
7 Races at E-Town
1 or 2 at Atco

If you could schedule to run at Geezers at the grove in August the weather is generally much better at Maple Grove. Its way too hot in that valley In July. Geezers is a neat nostalgia event

Right now the schedule is April, May, June, last weekend in August, September, October & November. No races in July and August till the last weekend. When ever we have done July and August races the car count is in the single digits because of vacations, "its to hot" "E/Ts suck" and know one wants to race (including me :sick ) and other summer activities.

I can, but I have to have a 16 car field guaranteed, and I don't think that would happen in August for a one day event.

Sounds good on the number, definitely at the upper limits of what I can make due to that whole work thing. As for the grove the summer is a little tough with the heat and son on. Looking forward to seeing the schedule

no big thing either way, but maple grove in august is generally very pleasant believe it or not. july for super chevy is unbearable for even the chevy diehards, geezers at the grove is a great event and the weather is always cooperative from my experience

It will most likely be the first weekend in August 2nd & 3rd. It may even be moved to the last weekend in July. The date is still not finalized. We have 4 out of 44 racers that say they will attend. The last time we ran a race in the summer we had 15 guys all crazy happy about going and then only 3 showed for one reason or another. I hear you guys, I just don't think it will work. With most of our 2014 events being two day events. I don't think that when the heat of August is here many will choose to go to the Grove.

Glad to hear that more events are going to be two day events - helps to spread out the windshield time and justify the fuel costs to my devoted wife.

9 weekends with 17 or 18 races, most 2 day events sounds great. If you are going on a Sat or Sun to race making it the both days is a huge plus for those that can swing it. Looking forward to 2014.
