Either way, MWF gets half the entry fees, so the more cars the better!

That being said, if we race against ourselves meaning our best time, a high power car is going to be tougher to get close to its record with new tires on, compared to a 14 or 15 sec. car should be right on no matter the tires.....

maybe we are looking at this in different ways.....
you are looking to see the diff. in e.t. when using new tires compared to seasoned or in some cases almost bald...and i understand that and can appreciate that!

I am saying putting new tires on high power cars will add a degree of difficulty, compress the field, tighten things up, and say to the winner...you da man :rock

Number one qualifier on a sportsman ladder will be a little more worried racing number five, and so on and so on!

Like i said, it could be anyones race!

Nothing against the lower teir cars, if we have a bracket race i will participate, but this is different!

I think that Ted was right with his earlier comment. A low HP car will have a much better chance of running close to his best time ever on new tires. I am going to start looking for a new to me 16 second 283 four barrel PG Chevy sled of some kind that I will run once in the summer berfore this race with new tires on it. I will walk away with the money in October.

If Supercar Races chooses to go forward with this event, how about scheduling another race like this only forget about the new tires. use the best qualifing time that day as the dial-in, or whatever the racer chooses to use for a dial-in if we only get one qualifing pass, like happened last fall. Let the first guy who crosses the finish line advance with say a .1 or .2 breakout allowed. This way everybody has a very equal chance to win.
