Exhaust manifolds are the same. 74 intake may use a n egr though. I have to check into that. Plus I already have the 73 intake and carb. I should probably just find a 340 block. Also are we going by NHRA stocks specs for cam size and pistons ?

That 72' block you have is for sure a 360? I figured one dated 72' would still be a 340. :?

Yes, 72 was the first year for the 360 but for big cars only. It didnt replace the 340 until 74.

Adam you should use the 360 block it is legal and as good as a 340 if not better.

What, exactly, is a "P&G Check"? Sorry, I'm new and haven't heard of this term before.

It is used to check Cubic inch. Pumps air into the cylinder to give you the Displacement.

FYI, not trying to get picky but being a fullsize Mopar guy, and having parted out a 1971 Fury with the original engine, 1971 was the first year for the 360.
