My 72' is pretty close to being ready to run, and be roadworthy. I am going to start with somewhere around 14-18 degrees base timing. (Vacuum advance disabled) I have a Moroso spring and weight kit installed with the heavy springs. (around 36-38 degrees total advance) Plugs are indexed, stock heat range - 44 I think?, .035" gap IIRC. Petronix Ignitor III with matching coil.

My SCR is 9.65:1 (measured) vs. the factory advertised 8.5:1. The DCR is 8.57:1
(For reference, I have a spare, untouched short block. I took some measurments and come up with 8.4:1 SCR and 7.365:1 DCR)

I am guessing around 3900-4000 lbs with driver and fuel. 3.73 gears, M21 close ratio trans.

Am I in the ball park with my timing and plug gap?

I'll have to stick a guage on it and see. I generally like to check all 8 cylinders with zero miles, then again after 800-1000 miles. All the calculators I have checked online say around 188 psi +/- 1-2 psi.
