We want to start by saying Thank You, to all that have given input on the web and thru the many E-mails and phone calls we have fielded. With all of the great input we have received on replacement Factory Cylinder Heads to be used in the series, we have come up with a solution to the issue.

We want to take a moment to explain why we feel it is important to be able to offer an alternative factory replacement cylinder head for our racers.

We want to start by saying, we “SEE IT“. We see the issue we have going on in our hobby. There are many restorers and hobbyists in our hobby putting original and tribute models together and selling them for incredible amounts of money. This affects what we do to a great magnitude that some may or may not understand. Then you take us, the guys who want to go out on our treaded polyglas tires, have some fun, and use these cars the way God and Detroit intended. The problem is, we are fighting with the restorers and hobbyists over the same hunks of Swap Meet Junk. Or, if we are lucky, we find an NOS piece and pay more than God intended for that part to be worth, and then proceed to make it into racing junk. Some of us are luckier than others and can purchase reproduction cylinder heads with the correct part number, but the majority of us are not so lucky. So, seeing the problem is the first part of fixing the problem.

The next step is “OWN IT“. Own it is were we come in and take the time to ask, what do you guys all think about this? Who is affected? How do you all think this will affect us as a group and a series? Many great points were made and valued, thank you for your feedback. The next two steps lead us on the road to our future.

The next step in our process is “FIX IT“! This is were we take the feedback from you, our experts, racers- current and future, Rules makers and the gurus in our hobby. We have put together a complete list of allowable Factory Heads that can be substituted for the original year casting number head. How does this affect you? You will have a broader selection to chose from to build your prized Factory Appearing MuscleCar. You will be able to find a head that will not break the bank as much as that hunted and cherished original casting. Remember, you have the choice to run the original head or the replacement head, with no penalty of not being certified.

Our last step is “DO IT“! In 2010, we will be coming out with our updated rules. We have taken the 2009 season and have looked at the rules we have and how they benefit our racers, and, most importantly, the future of our series and the original intent of Factory Appearing MuscleCar Racing. We will be making slight adjustments to a couple of rules and we will be defining some that our racers have told us need clarification. We want you all to know and understand that once these rules are in place, we promise you, our current and future racers, No Rules Changes till the 2013 season. What this means is that in 2012, we will look at our accomplishments and our challenges and decide if any changes may need to be made to continue to keep our series going strong.

Some may be thinking, what will be next the intakes, exhaust manifolds, ETC. We want you to be assured, we have no intention of ever changing any of these items, as they are all available and are even being reproduced by many companies.

We have a vision to be the leaders in Factory Appearing MuscleCar Racing. We give you a fair playing field for all to participate, with one set of rules for everyone to follow. We will be fair and consistent with our rules and judgments, creating exciting and competitive racing at every E/T level. Our racers are welcome to race in other venues in addition to the SuperCar Races. When participating in our series, we ask that you be positive, respectful, responsible and free of bias towards your follow competitors.

Finally, we want to thank you, all of the racers, current and future, that have given us your input on this topic and the others that needed clarification. We appreciate all of your feedback and ask that you continue to use this website to voice your opinions, wins, struggles, and give us feedback on how we can make your racing series better.

Our 2010 Rules will be posted on our NEW, IMPROVED and HIGH OCTANE website for all to see on January 1st, 2010. Please feel free to Call, PM or send us E-Mails with your thoughts. We thank you for your continued support.
