I've been following the site for the past year or so. My name is Chris Pelagio. Been into cars for a while. My two year old son and newborn daughter have kept me busy lately, but I'm enjoying it. I've always thought that these musclecar drags looked to be the most enjoyable type of racing and have wanted to participate for a long time. Living in Rhode Island, the series that Ralph has put together is close enough that I may finally be able to participate. I have a couple of 69 camaros. I've always wanted to do a pure stock zl1 clone to race. I have the car, which is an original 327 rallysport, but I have yet to acquire a new 053 casting zl1 block. I have all the other engine parts so hopefully the block will come next year. I also have an L78 69 camaro pace car that I've driven to maybe one car show in the past three years. This car is ready to run in pure stock and I think that it is time for me to start enjoying it again. The 396 is built to stock 375hp specs, exhaust manifolds, and m21 4 speed. Being that it is a convertible, I would rather race a coupe but I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines. I see the pictures of the race results and it looks like you all are a good group of people with a common interest to enjoy these awesome cars. So, I'm hoping that in 2011, I can come out and have some fun.
