well. i was in the last stages of a 89 camaro, drag radial build. it was gonna be a 383 sbc, big procharger, blow thru carb setup. we were lookin to go high 8's!!!! it was getting more and more expensive and i wasnt enjoying the build at all. so, we were out at lvd, testing with a friend's a/sa dodge. we saw a green nova (ted's) and thought WOW!!!!! that car is clean!!!!! looks like a resto!!! then noticed the bar in it. and an 11.40 pass!!!!! we all thought, now that car is cool!!!!! so i started adding up what it was gonna cost to finish the '89, the frustration i was having with that build, and the fact i have wanted a 69 camaro since i was a kid. the was nothing to consider. i started looking for a '69 camaro!!!!! my buddy mark and i went to look at a dozen cars before coming across the car i bought. we were gonna put my 383( minus the procharger) 400 trans and 12 bolt in the car. then i saw that the supercar shootout was gonna be at lvd. i came out, checked out some of the cars, and talked to ted a bit. i was hooked!!!! that is what i wanna do with the car!!!!! so i am in the very beginning stages of the build and will keep everyone updated on it's progress. before the build starts, i had a friend take some pics with the car i'll share too!!!! thanks to all the great guys in this series that i have met!!!! look forward to many more races with you all!!!!!
