I'm a grizzled old drag racer and I'd love to join your series, but distance is wee issue (I'm on the west coast of Canada). But...I'm here to learn and apply what I learn to my street car. It looks to me like the vast majority of you can make a stock suspension, little tire car hook on glass (or snow!). Here's my Nova (it has 13,000 original miles; 75-80% or so original paint -- it was actually rotisserie restored by the last owner). The plan is to add a big bore, short stroke BBC (477), a four speed and a reworked 12 bolt along with front disc brake and pretty much leave everything else stock (looking), right down to the dog dish hubcaps:
