New to the site and wanted to say hello and also thank some of the guys at the Atco race on Saturday the 5th. They took the time to answer some questions we had about the cars, rules, and the series in general. The cars were beautiful and impressive to watch on the track.

I do have a car I could use, just have to gather up some factory style parts, mainly exhaust manifolds. The car is a 70 SS Camaro with a 396/375 4 speed combo. It is mostly stock with the exception of headers. I still need to read more about the rules. Not sure the little 396 is enough motor..........

Hell yeah. Bring it to ETown this weekend. Or atco/ETown next weekend!
I'm just racing a little 383.

I am done for the season. I never made it out this year anyways. Juggling a 3 and 4 year old can make for a quick weekend. Hopefully over the winter I can scrape up some manifolds and pick up a set of those coker tires. Should make for an interesting trip down the 1320..................... :shrug :shrug

Thanks!! It was the look I was after when I removed all the aftermarket "go fast" goodies. I was tired of the chrome wheel look too. I got lucky and found a set of L60 bias plys (and boy do they scream when the clutch flies) and a set of Speedway steelies. Got some homework to do over the winter and need to pick up a trailer, exhaust manifolds, and some cokers and I just might make it out next season. :rock :rock

Manifolds should be easy, they sell reproduction units with the part # you need. (Unlike my 72')

What gears are in it?

You would be surprised, a tall gear makes controlling the tire spin easier. With 3.23 gear in my car and the tire spun you just can't get it to stop.4.10 gear and it's much easier
