Hello, yes, it starts slightly quicker and sounds better when turning over...hard to explain...a little more crisp maybe..

Thank you for all the input fellas. I went with a mini starter from a 1991 Dodge Dakota-bought from Autozone for $65-after I returned the core. I had to grind/file down the body of the mini starter a little to get the bolts to line up. It works well and it's much lighter and easier to put in the car...

i don't know what mufflers are on the car, they were on there when i bought the car. i've checked but i can't see any markings, they look like stock mufflers.
