That was Johns best pass ever. John beat up on the ole AAR all day long. I spun every pass, threw weight in, still spun, launched at idle, still spun. Had to throw 4 jet sizes at it to get some mph back. It was wheel hopping so bad I lost a trim ring. I think the best pass was a 11.89 @117 with a 1....

If the car runs real good (40's) saturday and weather looks good we will def. be there.

If not waking up at 3 am to go walk around a swap meet we rarely find any mopar parts in cold wet conditions is sortove a family tradition. lol.

Install them, make a pass, cut thru them with a cordless sawzall in the pits and make another pass. Only way to be sure. 8) lol. Imagine if I actually did that. I realize that the rollbar will do much of the same stiffening, but something about tieing the rear of the chassis to the front of...

To me the principle is the same as a torque strap on the motor. You eliminate "flex" in the driveline. Whether it breaks the tires loose easier or not, I found it does... :shrug But sub frames could be a different animal... I can see wanting a little flex in the driveline area. The other ...

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Our mopar club went to a chassis shop for a "field trip" last meeting. I was explaining to one of the chassis guys about the class, tires we have to run, etc. He basically said this: If the chassis is more rigid, then when power is transferred to the rear...

Subframe connectors or not? Give me some reasons. I am 99% sure they are going in the duster this weekend. Just curious why other people are or are not using them. Probably going to use 2x2 or 2x3 steel, cut the floor and frame and tuck it up nice and tight. Should add about 30-35lbs. When I added t...

brian , are you planning on still keeping things hidden or will you use the space in the trunk?

just curious!

Yes to both. The easiest place to hide things is in plain sight....

The weight advantage is too good to pass up.

1.12 The trunk may be used to house modifications other than those explicitly stated as illegal (nitrous etc.) and its appearance is not a tech item. However, like other modifications to the car, Supercar Races encourages the racer to make any reasonable attempt to maintain a stock or "stealth...

Not completely ironed out yet but as far as batteries are concerened..... 10.01 The battery must be retained in the correct location, be functional and securely fastened down with original style hold down. This is the identical rule for both Supercars and FAST. A functional battery produces 12V whe...

I try not to run more than 5 gallons in the AAR. Sure it's weight in the rear, but it's too low to be used effectively. However, I think that was the issue I was having when we tried running the electric fuel pump(uncovering the sump, sucking air).

Hey guys, I just looked through the entire rulebook and found no mention of fuel cells or batteries mounted in the trunk. I assume the same rules apply as the discussion going on in the other forum? The trunk is a non inspected place. I can simply throw a cell and a big honkin battery in the trunk a...
