My thanks to all that helped me try and get the 442 started in the staging lanes. My gratitude to all that helped push my car on the trailer too!!!. New MSD box is on order. I really enjoyed running side by side with Scott. I didn't see who won. Did a MOPAR win the day? Thanks again Ralph. Scott

I have run synthetic and non. I didn't have any problems with the syncros with the synthetic which surprises folks. I ran it that way for many years. I can't speak for all pumps but in the case of the Olds fuel pump I just gently worked the "crimped" upper assembly free of the cast lower assembly. I did this by "uncrimping" the upper assembly with a small prying tool. You can see the evidence of this as you look at the photo. ...

After all the advice. I took apart a pump to see how it worked. The needed welding was over my head so I took it to AutoFab Racecars down the street. Rob, the owner, worked it and this is what it looked like before reassembly.

I've been getting the 442 ready to run. I finally got the motor back a few weeks ago. I put some 6 cylinder springs up front and replaced the bushings in the upper control arms to "loosen" things up. Now I'm getting the clutch set up dealing with forks, throwout bearings and pivots. I thin...
