Will it be stock appearing....will you core love carry over to a modern car? Not even close, it will be a complete 180. Big 'ole holley on an alum single plane intake, alum heads, long tube headers. The big and little convo pro's are staying with the largest drag radial that will fit out back. :aok...

Only stumbling block is the bubbleback. Not a fan :sick

An ASC McLaren rear spoiler will fix that though.

I've owned quite a few different brand cars over the course of my addiction, but this is the first Mercury I ever owned. I'm happy with my Cobra, I've been driving the wheels off it. Something I haven't done to a high performace car in years and its damn good. Its not a slouch either, but it also do...

And speaking of new Dodge pick-ups, there was the time I forgot the tailgate was down when I turned a corner backing up. The hand jack on the tongue of the trailer smashed into the tailgate on my brand new demo. Yikes! Did that with my first dodge, then did it again with the F-150 I replaced it wit...

When loading a car on a trailer, refrain from doing so on a steep incline especially with a light tow vehicle. What may happen is when you pull the vehicle to be trailered onto the ramps, there is sufficient seesaw force to unload the rear tires of the tow rig enough to let the whole contraption to ...

Went to a tag sale today and there was a 69 Firebird in the driveway that I inquired about. Lady said her husband plans on fixing it up one day but her sons 63 Impala is for sale. Unfortunately her son passed away a few years ago in his late 20's. Was restoring the car at the time and she would like...

Hmmm. Hard to pin down five but I'll ramble off the first 5 that come to mind. 1- 71 Hemicuda- Needs billboards and a 4 speed and all the goods. Favorite Musclecar, but I'd welcome a 440+6 just the same. 2- 1980 Camaro Z28- White w/ blue stripes, T-tops 350 and a 4 gear. First Musclecar that fit my ...

Ah.... I was on my way home from the gym Sat with the top down and radio up when the cloud cover rolled in. I had all intentions to finally make it out to the pike with Joey but when I got home and looked at a rain pattern larger than the state of NY bearing down on CT on the doppler, it just seemed...

Since mine was under the washer bottle on the drivers fender I just ran a wire from the starter solenoid to the line lock. Then of course a wire to your switch then to ground.

Yeah, the pushrod cups don't develop a mating wear pattern like the lifter/cam surface.

Smith Brothers will make you a perfect set. If you would like I have a pair of checking pushrods so you can use to get an exact length. I made them by cutting some old pushrods and tapping for threaded rod.

Where was the broken ball? Pinned between the rocker and end of the pushrod? If it was missing then you lost peak lift by X amount. If it was pinned while it was running, go buy a lotto ticket. I would think the pushrod would have gave if the valve hit. Either way, I'd either throw a straight...

Shouldn't have to pull the head. Can't see how you would get P-V contact by just having the ball broken off. Besides, there are other ways to check. I don't think you "need" to swap the cam & lifters either, unless this is a good excuse to try a different grind. Adjusters aren't the mo...

I'm gonna be in NYC for most of the week at a trade show.

Let us know how you make out. The TQ's flow, especially the 850's. I'd really like to see what the difference is between a properly setup six pack vs a TQ. I bet it would be surprising.

Brian, whats your e-mail addy??
