I didn't even think the springs would be an issue. Me too. The rule seemed pretty clear way back when the Stock Appearing Pioneers wrote it. "Composite or other lightweight material leaf springs are not allowed." When I first saw a "fabricated" leaf spring pack at a race I was s... |

So a completely stock appearing rear leaf spring pack is illegal, but an heim jointed front strut rod is okay as long as it is painted gray?
Sorry, we had this discussion down at ed's. I didn't even think the springs would be an issue. |

:blah Good food for thought on the gaskets. I ran cometics when I first built my Duster motor but leaked like a seive after 4 different install/reinstalls using different tecniques. They put a bad taste in my mouth and swore them off especially the price I paid for them. Thats why I went with coppe... |

Looking good. What head gaskets are you going to be using? What are the specs on the cam? What heads? It has more cubic inch, lighter rotating assembly, and more compression than the dusters motor. Should I be worried? The car looks good Brian. It will look better lined up against a certain black d... |

Just out of curiousity does this mean idle quality is not in consideration? Meaning you can have any kind of a lope you want as long as it is below 108dba @ 1000rpm. That is correct. The Rules reads; 6.00 CAMSHAFT 6.01 Camshaft must produce a correct stock sound at idle. Engine idle noise level wil... |

No way an AAR or TA will pass that with the only available aftermarket mufflers (Dynomax). No issues Brian, your AAR comes in at 100 Dba :aok . @1000rpm? Maybe directly at the rear of the car.... We had the idle @ around 670-750rpm to keep the sound lower on the AAR. Just out of curiousity does thi... |

Actually the point is no one is making one about the big cid. After spending "the money" on the heads and custom pistons. We aren't talking about an advantage. However at 1.74 hp per cid , Id rather have the extra 67 cubes. What performance advange Lane? Your car has run mid 10s? Yes ED, ... |

i think its tough to build a small block in a world of big blocks, so i give those who do alot of credit! maybe in the not to distant future there will be a small block class! Then the small block winner could run the big block winner :-D How about a smallblock just goes out to win the whole thing? |

More pics of that Butterscotch 69 Bee please. My dream one is that car, same color, bench seat 4spd, w/ black vinyl top. That is hands down, my favorite Mopar of all time. The color, everything. Perfect.
Man I want one of those. |

In the AAR we have the o2 sensors wires coming through the doors, around the rocker panels. It does look cheesey, and I understand why they should be taken out for competition. I had just taken out 3 jet sizes and wanted to see where the a/f was. If you hide it so you can't see it, I doubt there wou... |

John may have hurt the trans, so he might not be able to make it.
I have a honey-do list the size of texas, if I get that whittled down some saturday and the weather looks good I can't see why we wouldn't go. Hopefully the track hooks better for us than saturday. |
