From what I have heard, Ford was trying to cut costs in the early 70's and the fan clutch was part of that cost cutting. Maybe Ford needed the money to put towards legal fees regarding exploding Pintos  LOL!!! probably more truth to that then we'll know. I heard the Fords don't really do too...

So sad to hear a 73 351CJ didn't come with a clutch fan. Not even the 2BBL version with A/C? nope. ...

I have been talkin with George P who runs the Pantera forum and is pretty much the 351 cleveland expert to go to for advice. He is gonna spec a cam out for me that falls within the rules for lift and duration but will be tweaked in other areas. with the allowed compression increase, should give the ...

per the supercar pure stock rules

"9.05 Fan must be factory original and correct for the year, model, and horsepower claimed. No after-market "lightweight" flex-fans allowed". The way I read that is if your car came with a fixed blade fan, thats all you are allowed to run.

are clutch fans allowed per the rules in the factory stock class? I know in the pure stocks, stock fans are the only thing you can run.

I can generally get 60' times in the 1.80s. Unlike the others, I keep 35 lbs in the rear tires. A slipper style clutch is important. Try looking at a McLeod soft loc or similar. Keep the base pressure relatively low and add something in the 35+ grams of weight total on the fingers. Of course good s...

We for the most part pull around and back into the water. Some tracks are easier than others, but the track workers have seen us before and have become familiar with it. You can run a drag shock as long as you paint it the correct color.I currently are running KYB shocks, I'm sure a good drag shock...

F-70 14 redline. Run 26-28 lbs. car weighs 3645 with me in it. I think a bunch of little things help. I run 4:10 rear gear. Makes it easier to control the tire. Once you get the tire spinning with a 3:23 gear you can't stop it. I think my converter really helps me, 9.5" ptc setup for the littl...
