Factory literature lists the dry weight with a 318 & automatic at just over 3,800 lbs. I have never weighed the car but have seen some weights on another forum that lead me to expect that with a 383, it will weigh less than a '71 Road Runner and probably about the same as a '70 GTX or '70 Corone...

I thought I would share some of my plans. I have been toying with the idea of building a street/strip car for a few years and talked with Ralph about the SuperCar series several times over a period of a year and a half. Last October, I took my green "survivor" '68 Sport Fury with a 383 and...

Chris brings up some good points and rules, and perhaps certification, could be looked at based on ET. It would be really great if some of the Ford and GM racers would provide some additional input on this topic. I am a newcomer who would like to become active in this series next year and I have a c...

I think we need to look at this topic from a cost to the racer vs. a performance gain. For example, several tests have been done on Chrysler Big Block Heads showing that there is little difference between the 906 & later production heads and the 906 heads cost more than later heads. If the later...

I had been using Shell Rotella 15W 40 in my older MOPARS for years but the zinc rating has been reduced and Rotella has gone from SL rated to SM rated. Tractor Supply Companies house brand motor oil is still SL rated and therefore has a higher level of zinc, as I understand the ratings based on some...

Two Questions:
1. Is the MIM Power Festival Saturday Oct 31 or Sunday Nov 1?

2. Did Bill Corcoran race his Fury At Lebanon Valley last Sunday?

Hal:

I hope that we can attend some events together next year. We need to keep the big car representation at more than one car.

I would like to thank Ralph, Sharleen, Billy Atwood and the rest of the regulars for making this a great day. This was my first time ever running my car but didn't feel like an outcast. This was the most fun I had in a long time and it added a new appreciaton for what you guys do on a regular basis...

1971 360-2V and 727 transmission pulled several years ago from a 1971 Plymouth Fury Gran Coupe. The engine has, as best as I recall, around 120k on it and needs to be freshened. It turns over freely with a standard length 1/2 inch drive rachet and socket and you can even hear it pump air. This is th...

I have been thinking about building a street/strip car for some time and over the past 18 months I have been talking to Ralph and reading the SuperCar rules and decided that I want to come out and play on October 25th. The fresh meat comment in the subject line stems from the fact that the '68 Plymo...
