Alright, now I'm making progress. I got the column apart. I ended up buying a tool to get the steering shaft off of the column upper bearing. You can see it in the lower right corner of the pic.

hello shawn, i've taken it to test and tune a few times. i'm having a tough time getting any type of traction but i'm still working on it. i took the summer and fall off to dedicate more time to work but i hope to get back at it this coming spring 13.
